Pedigree & Health Records at NekoTown
When you choose a kitten, you should feel clear about where it comes from. Here is how NekoTown reviews pedigree papers, parent-line health records, genetic reports and breed background for our British Shorthair, British Longhair, Ragdoll and Munchkin lines.
Clear Information Before You Choose Your Kitten
We want families in Singapore to understand the kitten’s background, not just fall in love with a photo. These are the records and checks we talk through with you.
What We Check Before Recommending a Kitten
A kitten’s background is made up of more than one document. We look at pedigree, health and breed information together, then explain the parts that matter to your family.
Registry Names You May See on Pedigree Papers
Some parent-line documents may mention registries such as TICA, GCCF, ACF or ANCATS. We help you understand what those names mean and how they relate to the papers available for your kitten.
Health Documents We Talk Through With You
Each kitten line is different, so the documents can vary. When records are available, we explain them clearly and connect them to the breed’s real-life care needs.
Blood Type & Breeding Compatibility
Cats have blood types A, B or AB. When planning a pairing, breeders check parent blood types because a type-B queen carrying type-A or AB kittens needs careful newborn management in the first day of life (neonatal isoerythrolysis).
A type-B or AB result is not a health problem. It is information responsible breeders use to plan pairings and newborn care. Where parent blood-type results are available, we review them as part of understanding a line.
Infectious-Disease Screening (FeLV / FIV)
Alongside genetic DNA testing, parent lines may also be screened for infectious diseases such as Feline Leukaemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) by blood serology.
Where these results are provided, we review them as part of assessing a line. Serology reflects status at the time of testing, so we describe it carefully as tested negative on the report date, not as a permanent guarantee.
Recognised Testing Laboratories
The genetic and health reports we have reviewed come from recognised laboratories such as those below. We review the reports provided to us; NekoTown does not accredit these laboratories.
Laboratories Named in Genetic & Health Reports
These names may appear on parent-line or kitten documents. We explain the report we have reviewed and how it relates to your kitten's breed background.
Parent Health & Genetic Records
A closer look at the parent records behind our breeding lines. When available, this gallery shows genetic screening and health certificate images from parent profiles, so families can review the background with confidence.
Breed Notes That Help You Choose Well
Different breeds suit different homes. These notes help you compare coat care, body type, temperament and health-record topics before choosing a kitten.
Documents You Can Ask Us About
During enquiry, viewing or handover, we tell you which documents are available for the kitten or parent line. Sensitive personal details may be masked for privacy.
